Hi Alll
Customer want to replace their CA to support sha256, and we find new certificate (sha256) will let ifolder service down.
we find seem mono could not support, then I find a suse update

it show server need update mono to 2.6.7-0.11.2 will sill support...
I update all patch to latest..and mono-core version upgrade to 2.6.7-0.13.1 but still could get the same result.

Who had success let OES full suppport sha256 certificate and which patch you install ??

Server is there (just one primary) and connection should be ok. On those devices is users most of the time (including during running this bundle) logged in, maybe this causes in time some trouble.
Any ideas?

GroupWise 2014R2, System, Link Configuration empty

Hi all,

I have my GW2014R2 running without functional issues on the SLES11sp3/OES11sp2 host.
Just browsing through the administration pages after the upgrade, I find that the "Link Configuration" page pops up completely empty - that is:
- Domain name shown in left Source column
- Post Office name shown in right Destination column

Nothing else.:confused:
- No information
- No buttons (except from Close)

The system is a single domain and single po on same server.

Any ideas where to look?

DXCMD command to set polling time from command line

Hi all!
Hope this is the right section of the forum for this issue.

I'm trying to write a batch file that needs to change the polling time of a driver and set it to null.

The command should do the same thing you can do manually by opening the iManager, selecting the driver properties and erasing the polling time and then, after doing some other things, setting it back to 5:30 am.

Can anyone help me?

ZCM 11.4 Appliance proxy setting

we are using the zcm 11.4 appliance. Is there any chance to enter a proxy setting? We are behind a http proxy and i can not register to download the updates or is there any manual process to update the appliance?

A problem with what seems to be a client related issue

Hi,

Not a 100% sure it's a problem with a client but here's the story so far. A user reported not receiving e-mail from a partner but only from one user of theirs. He could receive e-mail from other users from the same partner. Contacted them, they ran some tests, everything comes our way. I can see from our logs as well that we receive the e-mail and it's transferred. Our other users(including our admins and me) receive e-mail from that specific user. There are no rules configured on his client relating with that address. This morning he reported that he can't receive e-mail from another user from our partner. Again everybody else from our end can receive the e-mails well. Have done post office checks, analyze/fix mailbox, structural rebuild. Weirdly no sign of those e-mails in his client. Just in case checked it from WebApp no sign of them there either. Analyze/fix came back with the CODE DESCRIPTION error which this time was in both uncorrectable errors and correctable errors. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DSfW and Vmware View

Hello

I create this discussion, because actually I have no idea where to search for my actual problem:
We have following setup / problem:
View 6.1 together with Novell DSfW – and I know, it is not supported. (Our VMware case was closed in a few hoursJ).
Windows Server 2012 R2 for every component: Composer and vCenter on same Server

If we try to create linked clones (automated desktop pool - dynamic) after cloning the images (replica seems OK) and creating VMs in vCenter, the composer service crashes. I do not see any other log information (or I have not found them). I only see, that the composer service crashes. We have a Novell case open since months, but we're not making a lot of progress.
Maybe you have any inputs that make me go a bit forward.

There is not a statement from Novell/Microfocus what's going on with DSfW and highler Versions of compatibility of M- AD. Also an update to OES2015 will not help.

unable to create new folders under a shared folder

I Have seen some issues with Proxy and folder moves here, so wondering if this is the same issue.

If someone shares a folder with me and gives me total rights then I can move Mail into that folder but cannot move another folder into that shared folder or even create a new folder under that shared folder.

I have also tried to proxy onto that user (with full proxy rights) and then with full proxy rights add a new folder but it will not let me.

Anybody else experiencing this?

Navigation bar/buttons missing in GW2012 web mail

We quite recently upgraded Groupwise 2008 to 2012 (on the way to 2014, but need to get this version working first).

When accessing webmail I have the Mailbox, Calendar, Contacts, Documents buttons at the top after the Novell Groupwise logo, but the Navigation buttons below for the Mail, Appointments, Task etc are missing from 3 out of 4 of those pages - the Mailbox, Calendar and Contacts pages have no Navigation buttons, but strangely they do appear on the Documents page.

So from the Documents page I click 'Mail' which opens a new email. I write it, but now the 'Send' button doesn't do anything, only 'Cancel' actually works.

I've tried this under Windows 7 using IE8, IE11 and Chrome, and under Windows 10 using IE11 and Edge. On a new Windows 7 VM fully updated I've tried installing Java Runtime 7u79 while the other systems use 8u66. I mention Java as on the physical Windows 7 box with IE8 I get a page error when clicking send which suggests possibly a javascript error.

zdc 11.4.1 errors

We recently upgraded to ZCM 11.4.1. After the upgrade, I downloaded and ran zdc 11.4.1. Both the zencontent and zendatabase reports came back "clean." However, under the systemfilesreport, we have several errors below. I understand the sybase and zpm errors as we have an external sybase db and are NOT running zpm. Not sure about the ZenRegMgr32.exe (do I care since all our zcm server are 64bit)?: However, the rest of the errors seem to be something we should be concerned about or is that incorrect? If the errors are a cause for conern, how do I go about remedying them? Just FYI, all ZCM servers "seem" to be running fine.......TIA.

I have a client I setup several years ago on OES11

He has since moved to a SLES based KVM Host - I have only "Played" with KVM
(Although I found KVM easier and Faster than Xen & Vmware - we have stuck with Xen so I need some help!)

SLES 11 Host runs
Windows 2008 Server - for his Accounts and CRM
OES11 SP3 (now SP4) with GW2012 SP4

He now wants a Bigger Server and needs to add Filr, Vibe and move to GW2014 R2 + Mobility R2 but wants to stick with KVM rather than move to Xen (or vmware)
looks like Filr is NOT available as a KVM VM?
is Filr supported on KVM ?

Anyone have any experience with KVM & Filr ?

any issues KVM & Filr?

Any help / pointers appreciated

ZESService.exe attempting to access floppy every 7 seconds

I just started upgrading the zone to 11.4.1 (99% of our machines are still at 11.3.2 FRU1). After upgrading an older machine that has a floppy drive in it, ZESService seems to be constantly attempting to access the floppy drive approximately every 7 seconds. Using Process Monitor, ZESService is attempting to open not only A:, but C:, D:, and DOZENS of folders ... every 7 or so seconds. On another machine (a laptop that doesn't have a floppy), the ZESService is doing the same things (minus the A: drive) about every 6 seconds.

Has anybody else seen this and/or have a fix? I tried disabling the ZESService on the machine with the floppy, and after about 5 minutes I was finally able to get it to not immediately restart, but something else happily reset the service to Automatic start, so when I next restarted the computer, the ZESService started doing it again.

Moving users with mobilesync account duplicate address book

We have Groupwise 2014r2 with roughly 175 users. The system has been in use since WordPerfect office days. I've been moving users individually from the original system PO on Windows (moved from Netware) to new post offices on SLES. Some users have had blackberry phones, which moved to iPhone. Before moving users I run gwcheck until the log is error free.

Many of of my moves result in duplicate address books, most often the personal address book, once in a while the frequent contact book. When it happens the original address book is renamed with [1] after the name. This always makes it complicated for the uses and usually requires extra effort on the part of our sysadmin. Anyone seen anything similar?

ZenworksWindowsService.exe has initiated the shutdown

Hi!
ZCM 11.3.2. Windows 7 Pro SP1. As we have set to wake up all desktop computers on schedule in morning, today (and yesterday and some days before) I noticed that two computers were waked up, but ... at some point (probably during device refresh, I think) shut down. I took a look into Windows Events and saw ... " The process ZenworksWindowsService.exe has initiated the shutdown of computer <x> on behalf of user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM". Odd. Yes, I have some bundles for regular shut down as well, but all those must be triggered on exact time and usually in the evening or by exact date/time (for holidays). Well, haven't set debug-logging, so can't see much from ZENworks Agent side on device.
One thing I noticed, though. Shut down in evening is set at 7.30 PM. Both users dismissed it yesterday (they have option to cancel, obviously). Is possible that somehow ... cancelled action is rescheduled or ... remain active somehow? Yesterday was in morning time shut down one of those todays computers and ... yes, user dismissed shutdown bundle day before, other computer was day before yesterday shut down before 7.30 shut down action triggered and weren't shut down in morning next morning. Some pattern.

im trying to deploy an appliance and im keep getting this message:

Installation of Zenworks Agent 11.4 hangs in Windows 8.1

Good morning folks.

So I've been using a script to deploy the old ZCM 11.2 agent during my MDT deployments and that had been working flawlessly up until we upgraded to 11.4. I'm positive it's not the script. What happens during the installation is that I lose network connectivity and have to end up rebooting the PC and then the application will install again and this time it works. This, however, is counter-intuitive considering the whole point about using MDT is so that we don't have to touch the PC's during the deployment phase. Here are the deductions I've made so far:

This only appears to be happening to laptops. There's only one application that we install on laptops that we don't install on desktops and that's the Citrix Access Gateway plug-in. This application installs a virtual adapter.

I'm going to attempt to have this installed after installing all other applications to see if this gets resolved. In the interim, has anyone encountered such a thing?

Logged in Users not clearing

We've noticed a small issue after the upgrade to 11 SP4 (and subsequently on 11.4.1) - on a managed workstation, after logging out, the user is still showing up in the 'Logged In Users' panel. I've connected to a machine, logged in, logged out, and refreshed the workstation in ZCC, but the username persists.

If I subsequently log in as a different user, it shows up with both users as being logged in - on logout, the second user is removed but the original login still persists as being logged in. This also seems to persist across a reboot - has anyone else encountered something similar?

Mapping Issues

This hasn't been a huge issue, so I haven't actually tracked the versions, but I'll give what information I can.

Most should be Client 2 SP3, but not sure the release version. We've been putting IR10 on new installs, but most of the issues I have seen are older installs.

I get a report of drives not mapping. I can log in as myself and get my drives mapped, but ANY other use does NOT get any drive mappings. I haven't tried another admin user, but do know that mine is fine.

The only fix I have found so far is to uninstall/reinstall the client. If I try to just upgrade the client, I get the same result.

Once upgraded to Client 2 SP4 IR1, there are no issues with drive mappings.

We're running OES 11 SP3 and updated both servers in December to the latest updates. We did have this issue before the updates, so that's not the problem.

We have about a machine a week or every two weeks do this.

Rolling out the 2014 sp2 client to users and am having mixed results after install with the new GroupWise Icon.

We were previously on 12. Running Win7, about 50% updated fine and the red icon appears, others upgrade fine and the 14 client is installed but the 12 icon stays. When you click on the properties of the icon, the red icon is showing for the shortcut. Even rebooting does not fix. To get the red Icon to appear I have to do the following:
Change the icon to different icon and then apply. Then go back into the Icon and change the icon to the Red Envelope and click apply.

Any ideas?
