Display settings-horizontal bar with date of message

Hi,
I accidentally changed my display settings today. My messages are currently displayed in descending order by date; previously, they were displayed in descending order by date and there was a horizontal bar indicating the date of receipt (Today, Yesterday, date XYZ) so that messages were also grouped by date received. What's the setting for this? Thanks.

OES 11 SP2 - Cannot download any client software/mngmt serv.

Hello.
I try to download let's say a file manager. Every time I click a download using my host ip for OES, I get the message: Object not found. The client cannot find the download intended, so how do I fix this?

LDAP Failed?

Our ZCM has suddenly stopped communicating with its User Source for no apparent reason. Our authenticating Username is valid and functional within eDir, but its communication with the LDAP directory has supposedly failed according to ZCC. LDAP seems to be functional however, although I can't guarantee that yet. I'm wondering if it can be another underlying issue instead of the purported LDAP failure.

Reason being, the only changes prior to its ceasing to function are a reboot of this ZCM server and subsequent move of it Virtual Machine within VMware vCenter to its newly-upgraded ESXi host. Hasn't worked since. Could this possibly play in? I'd welcome any insight and advice.

guardian.dc is on version gw2012

Hello.
Last week we made a big maintenance on our gw-servers. We upgraded from SLES11 Sp1 OES11 to SLES11 Sp3 OES11 Sp2. Than we upgrade our GW 2012 Sp2 to GW2014 SP2.
After upgrading the guardian.dc wasn't updated here. The system for moment don't have problem. But I want update the file also on server.

How do I update this file to version 2014?

Secure connection failed - assistance please

New server install - Sles 11 sp 3 OES 11 sp 2 on Dell Poweredge 2950
Original install included Firefox and I installed Dell's Open Manage Server Administrator.
Everything worked fine until an update (I believe Firefox was updated, but not sure because the version numbers look the same as my other servers)
Now when I try to open the Dell Open manage program, which is needed to configure my MD 3000 raid storage array I get the following error

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to localhost:1311.
SSL received a weak ephemeral Diffie-Hellman key in Server Key Exchange handshake message.
(Error code: ssl_error_weak_server_ephemeral_dh_key)

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem. Alternatively, use the command found in the help menu to report this broken site.

Dell's site tells me to go into the Open Manage Administrator program and change the security settings, but I can't open the OMA to make that change.
Other searching tells me to disable weak ciphers in my "server.xml" file, but a search of the system shows 9 files named server.xml
so not only do I not know which file to change, I'm not really sure what change needs to be made. I'm still way too "novice" in my linux comfort level

Any assistance short of wiping the server - reinstalling - and making sure that firefox doesn't get updated would be appreciated, otherwise I guess I know how I'm going to spend my weekend.

Moving GroupWise 8 install to new server

We are moving a GroupWise install from one Netware 6.5 server to another.

Since it has been several years since I installed and patched the system, I am having trouble remembering what I did.

My question is:

Can I install what I think is the original GW8 install I have (from the software directory). Then just copy the system (email:\system\802) directory from the working server to my "new" server?

Make Public Link

iFolder 3.9. Has anyone here gotten iFolder to make a public link for sharing? So we have a folder or file that we would like to share with others that are not in our ifolder enterprise. So ppl will not have to have an ifolder account or login to download the shared item.

Zombie Email on POA restart

Groupwise 8.0.3 agents and client. Everytime I restart the POA, a single user receives an email from December 14, 2014. They delete it. I restart the POA days or months later, the user receives the same email again, appearing as a new email dated December 14, 2014. I believe I have cleared everything out of the PROBLEM folder and anywhere else that seemed a likely candidate, and still this email keeps coming back. It will NOT DIE.

Any advice on where to look for this "Zombie" email that keeps coming back from the dead on POA restart would be greatly appreciated!

Powershell get Novell file properties n get the permissions

Wasn't sure where to put this but I am writing a script in powershell and I am wanting to get the file Novell information so the owner of the file and the last modified and created date. Get-Acl doesn't seem to work so I was wondering how I can get the Novell file info via powershell
Also how can I output the Novell rights, again using get-alcl does not work returning Everyone instead of the actual rights

How long does it take to delete a NSS volume

Hi

I deleted an NSS volume yesterday evening that was 180GB on the server from NSSMU and the free space still isn't showing available in the Pool itself.

I usually delete the folders in Remote Manager first, but for some reason thought this would be quicker. I presume it is still deleting the files from the disk, but worried what has happened to all the disk space if not. Has anyone experienced similar before?

LUM unable to modify admingroup

Hi,
I have been trying to install a new server into an existing tree, and I keep getting the above message (failure) during the installation. I have checked the settings and both admin, and admingroup are already LUM enabled, and I cannot find anything wrong with the existing settings. There are already 2 servers in the ring, and I am creating a new server to replace the existing email server.

Any help in this matter would be most appreciated, as I have run out of ideas.

Groupwise Vacation Rule

Hi,

i've got a feature request and i'm not sure if this is the right place to write it down, but maybe here's some novell-staff around that will forward it to the right person or place to be.

We got a problem with the vacation rule.
We got a distribution list (not sure if this is the right translation for it - just a groupmailbox which you can add members and if somebody sends an email to this mail-adress everybody who is a member gets this email) and all users that should get these mails are a member of this list. So far so good.

The problem comes with the vacation rule. If the users (that are members of the list) simply add the vacation rule all mails that are going to the users mailbox getting answered even if the mails are coming from the internal distribution list. But this shouldn't happen, what we do to prevent this is we build some rules around this. But these rules are not added automatically and often the users forget to build these rules.

My feature request is now, is it possible to add an option anywhere to prevent that directly by server? Maybe for each distribution list individually?

Windows Media Player + Codec SVMs

Hi Everyone,
What I've done is created a virtual version of Windows Media Player 12 which seems to work fine. What I've been unable to do so far is create an SVM that contains a codec and have the virtual application see the content in the SVM and use the codec in the SVM to play a file Media Player can't play without it. However, if the same codec were installed directly on the machine, the virtual media player would see it and play the file without an issue. Just to make sure it wasn't an issue with the SVMs I was creating, I also tried installing both WMP and the codec into the same virtual application and had the same result.

My use case for this is that we get a large number of surveillance videos that our staff needs to play and many of these videos require their own proprietary (and usually poorly written) codecs be installed on the machines to play the file. I would love to be able to keep as many of them as possible them isolated from the host machine. Can anyone suggest anything that I can try to help with this scenario.

local vs. nc-login and delete last user-login-history

Hello,

I have two questions:
a) Is there any way to find out over commandline (perhaps a registry key) if the user has logged in locally or logged in through the NC?

b) Sometimes we login as admins and if we're done the last user shows the admin-name. we know that we can disable the function to remember the username but we just want to blank it for the one admin-session.
Any way?

How to disable the Tuxera driver and not have it revert

We really want to use the native imaging driver and not the Tuxera driver, but we made the mistake of deploying the Tuxera driver a while back and cannot get it to stay turned off.

We are using ZCM 11.3.2. We have 2 primary servers and about 17 satellites. We use our satellites for imaging.

I have tried following the instructions in the ZCM 11 SP3 documentation for disabling the Tuxera Driver, which includes editing HighPerfDriver.conf and deleting "ntfsdriver-RANDOMNUMBER.zip" on each imaging server. However, on the windows satellites, each time I reboot after making the changes, the HighPerfDriver.conf goes right back to the way it was. The file modified date is the date/time of the reboot. I can't figure out what is going on. Ideas?

Any GroupWise 2014-related reason to avoid SUSE SP4?

The servers hosting my web access and mobility components are running SUSE11 SP3, not OES 11.
SUSE's updater is encouraging me to move to SP4 on those servers.
Are there any known reasons to not update?

OES11 has a patch specifically to prevent the underlying SUSE from updating.
I can't think of any reason why updating would be an issue for GW, but I figured I'd ask.

effect on VIBE users when AD OU in LDAP source modified

Hi,

I need to rename some OU's in my Active Directory. I will ofcourse modify the LDAP source entry in the VIBE config area to reflect the new name for the existing AD OU's.

Will changing the AD OU's names cause any issue with VIBE (eg: delete or disable users)

Please advise and gotcha's

Migracion of postoffice from SLES to SLES with dbcopy

I tried using the scp to migrate the domain and postoffice from SLES to SLES, but you have to down all the services and if the size of the domain and postoffice is large it takes many hours. I want to try dbcopy, because this way I can migrate with the services up, but I would like to know what is the best way to do this.. Mounting the directory from the remote system and migrating the domain and postoffice to the directory? using what nfs or sshfs?
