I work as a system admin for a public school system. Recently we installed a ZCM 11.2 server in our data center and would like to be able to use the Wake on Lan feature to remotely wake up our workstations across the WAN at each school. My problem is that I have 6 remote locations connected through fiber all on different subnets. In order to get this to work I had to enable IP directed broadcasts on our Cisco switches/routers. This is a security risk and I want to disable IP directed broadcasts. But if I do this how do I get Wake on Lan to work? If I install a satellite ZCM 11.2 server at each location, how would I have to configure them in order for the WOL feature to work when I schedule it? Or is this not possible? I am hoping someone more knowledgeable than myself has an answer.
Thanks in advance for any help.
