Moving domain and PO disk space to new location

Hi all,
After successful installation and testing of new GW12 system (on SLES11SP1) I need to move domain and PO to appropriate storage area.
For testing purpose, domain and PO where created under /home/gwsystem/
Is it enough to move entire content to new disk at storage space and mount it under /home/gwsystem or just put symlink to disk mounted somewhere else inside same server?
Any tips regarding this plan?
