Edit in Place with Windows 7/8 and wildcard certificate?

I'm a little confused on my certificate deployment. The requirements in the documentation for Edit in Place with Windows 7(also assume 8) are that the certificate must match the domain for the filr appliance. Does a wildcard matching on the *.domain.com itself but not specifically filr.domain.com, meet this requirement? I ask because I have a wildcard cert in place but can't seem to do Edit in Place on my Windows 8 machine.

I wanted to see if someone could confirm that a wildcard cert is acceptable to use for Edit in Place. :cool:
