option for recurring appointments in calendar not available

There is no option for recurring appointments. I am new to Novell products, I used them about 10 years ago, so I am learning. I installed 2012 sp1 client and still no recurring appointments. This is really important for this client.
she is on a windows 7 32bit OS, brand new.
Any suggestions. She can access them through the web client.
