Add on Image from imaging engine after OS build

Hi there,

I am looking for some help / advice here.
At the moment we have a base images which we deploy and then during the same process we pull down a driverset image as a add on.
The machine then boots and builds.

If I want to add a large application as and add-on image does this have to be done via a add on image bundle or could it be done
from from the manually from the imaging menu. ie pxe boot and then go into imaging maintenance and then pull down the add on.

If we do this how do we get it to add onto the end of the file system and not overwrite what the Windows operating system.

Or do we have to pull all the add on images in one go before rebooting after the initial image is pulled down.

Delay in driver changes

I am not sure what details are needed in order to get assistance with this, so I will just start out with the symptoms. This has been seen in both our LAB and QA environment.

In Designer, I deleted a rule from a driver, I deployed that driver and did a restart....ran a level 3 trace on the migration of an account and still saw the old rule in the trace. I then logged into iManager and looked at the policy on the driver and still saw the rule....that I just deleted from Designer and deployed. While in iManager I deleted the same rule, saved the change and it restarted the driver.....then I ran another level 3 trace on the migration of an account and still saw the old rule in the trace. I waited probably 1 or 2 minutes, restarted the driver again.....ran another level 3 trace on the migration of an account and the old rule was no longer in the trace.

I have never seen this before but as one can tell this is a major issue. I was certainly under the impression that once I do a deploy from Designer and a restart of the driver that the change is running in prod, and that is what I have always seen up until this point. I have tested this several times and have seen it every time and also a co-worker of mine has seen the same thing in our LAB environment.

Any ideas?

Exchange2007_MailFlow String Space for comma-separated lists

Greetings All,
I have 82 mailboxes that I need monitored with the Exchange2007_MailFlow script but unfortunately it only allows me to enter 4 email addresses. To accommodate 82 I would need around 20+ scripts only measuring 4 or so addresses per script. Is there a way to extend the number of items in the comma separated list field or allow it to read from a text file? Many thanks as always in advance for any help.

Automatic disable accounts in the application fulfillment

Greetings,

We are currently implementing a certification of accesses in client with the following scheme:

* Collect account information and permissions by JDBC (5 Applications)
* Collect account information and permissions by CSV (3 Applications)

Is there a way to certify accounts by application and deactivate in IDM?
That is,It is possible to certify accounts and disable them in IDM

Any ideas? Is this possible?

iPrint OES Installed iPrint for OES 2015 SP1 Can Not login

All patches apply
Novell iPrint install and working been working for years
Enabler Patches install
installed Novell iPrint for OES (2015 SP1) no errors
I'm able to get the login page (https://dcbe1.dcbe.org/ipcon/) when I give it the admin login for my tree, login fails. I have tried it with both CN login For example, admin and FQDN in LDAP format For example, cn=admin,o=microfocus still fails. Here what the log file has in it:

No icon in agent's window when pc are using autologon

Hi,

We have noticed that no icons appear in the agent's windows for our PCs that are deployed with an autologin profile.
We're using Windows 7 in a domain and some of our workstations use an autologin profile.


Here's a screenshot of what we see when clicking on the systray icon:

It's working fine if I log on using the local admin account or another domain account without admin privileges.

Proxy server support in ZENworks 2017 Update 1

Hi,
if the Use portal is not accessible through cellular network ( Internet ), the only way to enroll device is to connect to ZenWorks user portal via Wifi in internal network ? After that will be enough, that ZMM server can to connect through proxy to Internet ?

Three things about customised e-mail templates

Hello,

Filr v3.2, small distribution. Downloaded all e-mail templates, 12. Made customizations to all of them, except teaming.vm. Started to test and following things.

1. At the stage of confirmation I saw e-mail template that is used probably by system only.

Your access to the item is confirmed
Sign in and access shared items
Micro Focus®Filr

This can cause the user to suspect falsification. No custom logos or text. All previous and next e-mails are sent by using customised templates.
First, can I go and change that template? Second, we would like to see this template in e-mail templates list in Admin Console.

2. At the same time there is no share expiration information passed to external freshly registered user. If user is already registered then they are able to see expiration date/time with in sharing notification e-mail.

3. This confirmation e-mail is sent from <name@domain> address. Would be nice to use "Display Name <name@domain>" format. I am not sure that we could use this in Filr VA Outbound E-mail configuration.

Has anyone come across these topics? Any solutions suggested?

SSPR not prompting password expiration

Hi

I have the following problem, any user with the expired password is not prompted to change it during the UserApp login, i only get requested to change it when i go to "Change my password" where you are redirected to the SSPR.

According to this thread:

I checked the "Check Expire During Authentication" option and installed the OSP 4.5 HF5, but still not working.

I'm running IDM 4.5.4

Any other ideas? Any configuration to check?

Warning: The Bundle Deployment status ...

Warning: The Bundle Deployment status data might be inaccurate as the migration is in progress

I see this warning on all of my bundles in 2017 and now in 2017 Update 1 when I click on bundle status. Also everything is sitting on pending.

I found this "Bug 1023030 ZCC > Device > Relationships The Status data might be inaccurate as the migration is in progress." on the notes for update 1. ( https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7020155 )

Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem and I am unable to see the status of any bundles.

I read something about the database using something new in 2017 to report update statuses faster, maybe something went wrong with that upgrade?

2 groupwise accounts in 1 Groupwise client

2 questions.

1) Is it possible to have 2 Groupwise accounts in one Groupwise client without adding the 2nd account as either POP3 or IMAP? the situation is when the user has two email addresses within the same GroupWise domain.

2) If number 1 is possible, can it be possible as well if the user has email addresses from 2 different Groupwise domains?

REST driver unable to send payload in GET calls

Hi,

I am currently attempting to create a REST driver. The driver needs to obtain a generated user ID from the target website through a GET call with a payload containing the user's cn. However, I haven't been able to send any payload with the GET call. Any tip or workaround to be able to send a payload in the the GET call would be greatly appreciated.

When sending a PUT, the payload sent is simply what is contained inside the <value> tags in the driver operation data.

I tried to perform something similar by adding a <value> tag to the query event as well, but it seems like the driver ignores it.

GWCheck A/F Misc Support Options, Do you use any by default?

Hi.

So when you run an analyse / Fix on a user database. Goto Misc, and there is the support options section at the bottom.

Do you run any particular options in here by default? If so which ones.

I've not been using any, but talked to someone yesterday who always uses a couple by default, and was interested in what others did.
I was wondering if there is some consensus on what's worth doing, or not doing.

Exception on getting Thumbnail Image from Address Book Entry

Hi everyone!

I have my own personal AddressBook with manually created users (not copied from somewhere). GroupWise client says that I'm an Owner of this AddressBook. All users in this AddressBook have Thumbnail Images.

I get AddressBookEntry from this AddressBook via ObjectAPI. Now I can get DisplayName, ObjType, EmailAddress, all field values.
But when I try to call the methods to work with Thumbnail Images, I get an exception "Update access is denied to current user".

Methods that cause such exception:
  • entryVar.HasThumbnailImage;
  • entryVar.SaveThumbnailImageToJPGFile('d:\test.jpg' );
  • entryVar.SetImageAsJPGThumbnail('d:\me.jpg');
  • entryVar.RemoveThumbnailImage


I get same issue on GW12 and GW14 (several builds).

Collection AddressBook.AddressBookRights is empty. I even tried to put myself into this collection with egwFullAccess access.

But nothing changes, I still get the same exception...

Did you get same issue on getting images from AddressBookEntry? Do you have some solution?

iManager- Worfklow adminstration error

Hi,

We are using iManager 3.0.1 along with IDM 4.6. After login to iManager workflowsadminstration plugin is not working for normal users. But it is working fine for uaadmin user. Below is the error when we click on Login button. Please help.

Error: Workflow - Error
The version of Identity Manager associated with this User Application driver (Could not be determined) is not supported by the version of Identity Manager this plug-in was built for (.)

Backup Recovery

Dear friends,
I had a crash in my laptop, lost access to my email. Unfortunately I have no longer access to the server as the company I worked for already deleter my use. I only have my local backup.

I had five folders in my "Groupwise" Folder - rofdata / wpcsin / wpcsout / wpgwrecv / wpgwsend

Any suggestion of how can I access this data?

Appreciate any advice!
