Cannot Save as ... into Filr on Windows 10

We are running into an issue with Filr 2.0 and the Filr 2.0 Desktop Client under the following scenario:

1) Person downloads Word document from Gmail into Download folder.
2) Person opens document in Word.
3) Person makes change and then does a Save as ... with the intent of saving into the Filr folder under My Files.
4) Filr complains and saves a file with 0K size.

Is this something that is rectified with Filr 3+? Is there something else I should be looking at?

Certificate - Import Private/Public keypair using REST API

Hello,

I can manually import my public/private key (.pfx file) using the "Import Private/Public Keypair..." in the Administration console.
I would like to do the same using the REST API that is provided. Is that something feasible?

Storage Manager 5.2 directory services object could not be..

Hi Guys,

We are setting up a lab for a client that needs to migrate edir information to ad, the folder to folder copy function with a local resource of the server works without problems, but when trying to use a resource nas, the message (15) Directory services object could not be found. The nas to ad was added and permissions were assigned to the sm group.

Extending Validity of CRL File Fails: -603

I'm trying to configure the CRL for our Organisational CA to have extended validity of a few hours to allow for a time window to allow services to fetch a newly issued CRL before the old one expires. I've followed the documented instructions in iManager, but it keeps giving me a -603 error (no such attribute).

After doing some traces, I've found the missing attribute is ndspkiCRLExtendValidity. Indeed, this attribute is missing from our schema. I've installed a completely new tree on a new OES2015.1 server and it too is missing this attribute and exhibits the same symptoms. I also can't find any reference to this attribute in any schema files under /opt/novell/eDirectory/lib64/nds-schema or /opt/novell/sch.

We're running on fully patched OES2015, but as noted, this also happens on a test OES2015.1 server.

Why might this attribute be missing? Is this feature no longer supported?

High Java util

Hello again!

Running ZCM 2017 Update 1 now on 3 primaries, the third added yesterday for mobile management use. For some time, cannot say how long, the first primary often shows high Java utilization. The second primary usually keeps calm. We've noticed that sometimes when creating bundles they "get stuck" halfways. They seem ok and ready for use but clients get cached item error all the time until something like zman srf or a complete restart is performed on the affected server. We also note that huge log files are created in /var/opt/novell/log/zenworka/ZENLoader with names like java_pid3798.hprof (I've not tried to see what's in them)
On this particular server, when starting gui desktop (which we rarely do), the screen gets filled with notifications from packagekitd, seemingly trying to install an update over and over again, not showing wich one.

My question is, perhaps the easiest fix is to drop this server and set up a new one in the appliance version? If so, will this new server "look like" the old one in all respects? All content synced from the other primary etc? Or is there something I should check out that may be the cause of the behaviour? Note that the server works essentially as it should, most of the times no-one notices anything strange about it.

Shared folders over IMAP

Hello,

I am using Groupwise over IMAP on my Linux box but I can't see folders which were shared from others. Folders which belong to me and I have shared with others do appear.

In Thunderbird when I right-click at a folder, go to properties-> sharing it says "this server doesn't support folder sharing".

How can I use folder sharing with IMAP clients?

Internal 500 Error accessing Office365 after 4.3.2 upgrade

Hi,

I am having HTTP: Internal 500 Error when accessing Office365 after upgrading from NAM 4.2.2 to NAM 4.3.2 Appliance for Primary Appliance.

Office365 integration is va WS-TRUST and WSFED federation. I noticed the SSL strong security changes in 4.3 onwards.

I had reverted back the SSL setting as per documentation for Console, IDP and MAG... but no luck

My Secondary Appliance which remains at 4.2.2 have no issues accessing Office365. At this moment, all access in channeled to Secondary Appliance.

Anyone have any clue what could went wrong ?

Changing the Observer Taxonomy of an existing collector

Hello everyone!

I am applying the XDAS Taxonomy to an existing custom collector following the SDK documentation. The Observer Taxonomy is defined when the collector is created and is stored in the parameter "pcat" inside the plugin.properties file from the Collector project in Eclipse.

I have a big problem here as I have no longer the project in Eclipse and the plugin.properties file does not exist once the collector is compiled and zipped.

I wonder if anyone knows how to change that parameter if I only have the zip file of the collector.

-603 when trying to migrate driverset to new server

installing new idm servers (idm 4.6.1, edir 9.0.3.1) into an existing tree
(idm 4.0.2, edir 8.8.4). i migrated (in designer) an existing driverset to the
new server. errors there, but the driverset ist listed as 'running' on both.

choosing the new server in imanager 'identity manager overview' | <driverset> |
'Servers' | choose the other server in the drop-down-list results in error -603.

the dirxml-trace shows:

Hello,

I just updated my internal servers from idm 4.6 to 4.6.1 (rbpm included) and it ran very well.

An install application is provided that update tomcat + java + identity apps in one shot .

It's worthwhile to mention if you had struggle to apply idm 4.5.1 / 4.5.2 /4.5.3/4.5.4/4.5.5 with configupdates and OSP ...

Reflection 2014 Quick Access Toolbar

Hi,

I have been trying out different appearances for my Reflection Session Window, and would like to know if there is a way to increase the size of the Quick Access Toolbar? I would like to make these icons somewhat bigger. I found a goggle post that tells me how to increase the size of the Microsoft Windows Menu bar, which I thought would do it for this window also, but it does not seem to change in the Reflection Session window.

In an implementation between IDM Apps (4.6.1 & OSP) and SSPR (4.1.0.4) an error of type "OAUTH" is presented. This in an IDM 4.6 implementation (edir 9.03)
When trying to access the SSPR, it is redirected to the OSP authentication, (different servers) which shows the form to enter the login data. But then the SSPR throws an error::

"Test" Devices

Am I missing something or is there no field available for "Test" devices within ZENworks Reporting? I can't find it within reports inside ZCC either. Maybe I'm looking for it in the wrong spot.

Silent uninstall without reboot

Is there a way to run a silent uninstall of the client without an automatic reboot?

I'm following the command in TID 7009974:

%SystemRoot%\System32\rundll32 "C:\Program Files\Novell\Client\ncsetup.dll" NWUninstallClient /s

which does silently uninstall the client, but initiates and immediate reboot. This is not desirable.

Any ideas?

Hi all,

As this thread as closed, I'm opening a new one.

The above solution works fine with role and resource approval workflows, but not for "regular" PRD. First of all, Resource Name Override does not accept any process, GCV or another property, just start form post mapping variables. Ok, this can be used and changes the workflow name, but afters "flowdata.displayName/en" mappings does not change workflow name, as role or resource approval workflow does.

This is the case:
User is created in eDir and IDM open a workflow --> Manager choose a business roles --> (IDM changes dynamically workflow name to "ADD - <role name>") --> another approval --> end.

The (...) part is not working.

Is this expected or I'm doing something wrong?

Can someone point me to an article that explains how to use patch management to install Windows updates? We are going away from our WSUS server, and would like to use Zenworks 11.
We are currently running 11.4.2
