I am researching a user creation problem that we are experiencing with IDM and GroupWise. This problem seems to exist from IDM 3.6 to GroupWise 8 and continues since we have upgraded to GroupWise 2012. Once we upgraded to 2012 we updated the GroupWise IDM driver and the Remote Loader to 4.0.2. Problem:
Some users get created correctly and everything works as it should; others appear correct but when trying to use the account in any way we get a "C05D Dependent store file does not exist." And when you check the directory structure the user db is not there. We have not seen this issue in a long time because when we manually created accounts. It now pops up since we have been doing IDM. The driver and IDM system connects to the primary domain. In the past, when we manually created them I had instructed the Helpdesk to be connected to the domain that owns the Post Office, which would be SD01-DOM since all our post offices reside with that domain. It has always been best practices, at least older versions of GroupWise (Even Novell Support has stated this in the past), to be connected to the domain that owns the users Post Office when creating them. The IDM system connects to the primary domain. Is there a problem with connecting the IDM driver to the Secondary domain instead of the Primary? Has anyone else seen this issue?
