We're phasing out an old DNS server and are changing the DNS settings on our servers to the new DNS boxes. I have a three node cluster sitting on top of SLES 11. When I changed the DNS servers on one of the nodes, it made the cluster resources running on that node unavailable. They weren't offline or comatose, but rather just didn't work while being reported as running. I had to offline them and then online them. Easy enough work around.
I'm up to the cluster node that has the Master_IP_Address_Resource. What's going to happen if I change the network settings on this box? Would I be advised to reboot the node so the resource automatically transfers itself then make my changes?
