Update / deinstall 11.2.3a or 11.2.4 trashes Windows 8

Hi,

We are trying to roll out 11.2.4. Update of primary and sat. servers was ok. Update of Windows 2003/XP/W7 PC's ok as well.

But updating Windows 8 is a nightmare. I'm running HP Elite 8300SFF PC's with W8.0 64 bit and 11.2.3a. Assigned the update via ZCM. PC's start updating, but reports 'update finished with errors' (logs below). No automatic reboot. After manually rebooting, Windows 8 can't boot and not one single repair option works anymore. Only safe mode with command prompt.

Windows repair points to c:\windows\system32\Logfiles\srt\srttrail.txt wich reports corrupted registry. Copying backuped registry files from c:\windows\system32\config\regback does not solve the problem. After more testing it seems:

- Installing 11.2.4 on a 'fresh' Windows 8 PC is no problem.
- Update from 11.2.3.a to 10.2.4 'update finished with errors', trashed Windows 8 after reboot
- Uninstalling 11.2.3a seems to finish ok, but after reboot trashed Windows 8
- Uninstalling 11.2.4 seems to finish ok, but after reboot trashed Windows 8

So assuming update = deinstall old version + install new version leads to te conclusion deinstalling ZCM 11.2.3a/10.2.4 hoses Windows 8?!?
