Hello:- Can anyone help?
We are having major problems with drives not being mapped. Machines attach to the wrong server and then mapping fails with error c7e5004 BUT the user's home directory ALWAYS MAPS!
I have two OES2 servers
ASTERIX2 oes2 on sles10
MAPLEEMAIL oes2 on sles11 (with groupwise)
and a ZCM sever 11 sp2
Users login as dynamic Local Users via ZCM
Windows 7 client 2 SP3 IR5 (also with IR3)
the default system login profile is set with tree/container/server as MAPLE/school/ASTERIX2 (with ip address in hosts file) or as MAPLE/school/ip address
I have the world's simplest login script in the container:
MAP DISPLAY ON
MAP ERRORS ON
MAP U:=ASTERIX2\GAUL:\
MAP X:=ASTERIX2\GAUL:\
MAP Y:=ASTERIX2\GAUL:\
MAP V:=%HOME_DIRECTORY
despite the above, machines routinely connect to the wrong server; when they do
You are attached to server MAPLEEMAIL.
LOGIN-LGNWNT32-100: Access has been denied.

[Y:=ASTERIX2\GAUL:\]

Drive V: = ASTERIX2\GAUL:URBS\USER \
Drive C maps to a local disk.
Drive D: = MAPLEEMAIL\SYS: \
Drive V: = ASTERIX2\GAUL:URBS\USER \
BUT their %HOMEDIRECTORY maps correctly!
If they connect to ASTERIX2 then everything works!
I've had a look at
https://forums.novell.com/showthread...ping-on-reboot
but I don't have a DefaultDomainName key present and making one doesn't seem to make any difference
I hope I am missing something obvious that will be easy to solve.
