IIS7 - HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error

I can explore and browse (*:80) a virtual directory hosted on a cifs cluster if i use the current server name holding the folder, \\server\folder.

I can explore but cannot browse (*:80) if i use the cifs cluster ip address or cluster server name:

This is the error:
HTTP Error 500.19 - Internal Server Error
The requested page cannot be accessed because the related configuration data for the page is invalid.

Any way around this please?
