New ZCM Server Installation

Good day All,

My plan is to update my current ZCM Primary server, add a second Primary, promote second Primary to the Main (Master) Primary server, then retire old Primary server, repurpose hardware, and make the old Primary server a Satellite. I'm trying to also (as much as I can) mimic my customer's arrangement.

Please let me know if I have missed anything in my design idea, or if there is a better procedure?

1.) Upgrade current Primary server to 11.2.4 (along with any patches)

2.) Build new SLES 11 SP3 / ZCM 11.2.4 server build as a Primary (Promoting it to become the main ZCM server (if that is the correct terminology) In the end I would like this newer server to be my Primary server it will have more drive space, RAM, etc,.

3.) Remove the current ZCM Primary and re purpose that hardware by using it as a Satellite server when done. Running SLES 11 SP3.

I do know that ZCM 11.3 is out in Beta, but I was not sure I wanted to add that just yet since the customer is just planning on rolling out 11.2.4.

Again any thoughts would be grateful accepted.
