Expanding pool/volume in cluster

using SLES10 SP3 and OES2 SP3

have three node cluster and need to expand one volume. two of the nodes have devices listed sda, sdb..sdm. The other starts with sdb and ends with sdn. so same number of devices, but Ids are slightly off.

will this make any difference when expanding the pool/vol?
