I need to replace old server with new Proliant ML350 SP8 server. When doing an install it hangs at the keyboard detection stage and gives error of "no legacy keyboard". Not being able to find work around have decided to create as virtual server on VmWare ESXi 5.1. As this is to be file and print server, would anybody know if having VM of 1.5Tb is workable.
As the storage is directly attached and I think my only other option would be to create small mirrored drive for the ESXi, (Where the Netware VM datastore will be) create RAID 5 drive (DATA), with the remaining drives. I hopefully will the be able to connect to the "external" data volume".
Is this better way of using the Direct Attached Storage?
