restore second primary -> wipe in ZCC require?

hi,

i need to restore a second primary server (it hasn't the CA Role)

Backup from the system is available.
But i'm a not sure about the Process.

Should the Server wiped from ZCM Zone before i reinstall the System and restore it with that command:

zman zenserver-restore path_to_backup_file_to_restore

Or can/should/must the old System stay in the Zone?
