WinXP Virtual Machine super slow with Novell Client

I'm trying to build some legacy Win XP machines. Instead of building physical machines I thought I'd make VMs for them.
I'm using Windows Server 2008 R2 Hyper-V as the host. As soon as I add the Novell Client and the Zenworks 7 desktop agent the machine becomes so slow that it is unusable.

Any ideas on how to make the work would be appreciated.
