We are running ZCM 11.2 for software deployment to Windows 7 x64 machines. Example of the issue I am having.
Adobe Acrobat Pro 11 software update deployments are intermittently installing. I have these bundles deployed to 10 devices at this time and just over half will get the updates installed and the others will not.
If I remove the bundle assignment from the device and add it back later, ZCM will still show failed and no attempts are made by ZCM to reinstall.
Here is some of the message I have for the bundle(s) that have failed.
"An Unknown MSI error occurred: Error code is Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
"Error installing AcrobatUpd11001.msp. The installer cannot install the upgrade patch because the program being upgraded may be missing or the upgrade patch updates a different version of the program. Verify that the program to be upgraded exists on your computer and that you have the correct upgrade patch."
The software patches/updates are correct for the version of Acrobat Pro being deployed, other wise the over half would never installed by ZCM deployment and or manual install. Also I have verified the PC's are on, if not restarted prior to bundle assignment and Adobe is not open at the time of deployment.
How do I correct this issue? Also is there away to clear the cache of the failed deployment attempts?
