We have a central server room with a pair of OES file servers and one branch location with a single oes file server with a 10mbit link back to the main location. Each server is in it's own OU in the tree. I made the OU for the remote server a partition and assigned the remote server as the partition master and the other servers as read/write. I've made assigned our newest and more powerful file server as the master for the ROOT partition and set the other two as read/write.
Is this the proper way to setup the partitions and replicas for my environment so that the remote location doesn't cross over the slow link for local edirectory traffic while maintaining three replica copies of the two partitions?
