CIFS login problems

I am running OES 11.1 Patchlevel 1 on top of SLES 11 SP2 which is a brand new install. I have set up the CIFS share in iManager and set up a Microsoft workgroup called 'server_w'. If I try to log into the share I get an error of invalid user name or password. Checking in the cifs.log file I see an error 'Loading of NCSSDK library failed, error: libncssdk.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.' From a google search it appears that this is related to Novell cluster services. Is this needed for CIFS? I have universal password policy configured and after assigning a user to a universal password policy I can log into the OES server with the Novell client OK so I know the Universal password policy is set up correctly. If I use the CASAcli -l command to list the credential sets, I see 3: common-proxy-casa, novell-cifs, afp-casa. However, I don't see any of these accounts in eDir. Shouldn't I? If these are supposed to be user objects in eDir, where should they be placed in the tree and what rights should be assigned to them? Thanks, dan
