We are preparing to update our 14,000+ Windows devices to 11.2.3.
What is the expected behavior of the System Update when "Show Permission Prompt" is enabled?
Is it supposed to wait for someone to log into the computer?
Because that is not what I'm seeing in my testing. If nobody is logged into the computer, the upgrade starts immediately. Even if somebody logs in after the upgrade has begun, there are no system-tray balloons indicating what's going on.
My concern is that the following will happen:
- We assign the system update to our devices
- User boots up his computer in the morning
- The upgrade begins before user logs in
- Dynamic Local user does not work, (because the Agent is in the process of updating itself)
- User gets frustrated, reboots in the middle of the Agent upgrade
- Agent is now broken
