New version 2.2.2 - how to update?

I'm about to update our existing 2.2.1 system, and was looking for update instructions in the documentation. Well, I guess Messenger is more or less a dead product to Novell (?), as the documentation hasn't been updated since December 9, 2010...

But basically, what I'm wondering is if I just run the installer as if it was a new installation, and it would recognize the old version so I won't have to go through the "Configuring Your Messenger System on Linux" part?
