web access/file access not working

Hi there, My partner has been working in root of a linux server and he has been installing php and mysql so we can install an intranet CMS. He has also made some changes to apache configs

Somewhere along the lines Both the webaccess for their e-mail system and remote file access went down. We can now not access their email from the outside.

I'm curious if anyone can help as to what we can do to fix this.
