Opening attachments in posted message using webaccess

When I attach a file to a posted message and then try to access the file through webaccess the file shows as a newly attached document and I can delete or view, but not open or save. Is this working as designed?

this only applicable to

1. the WebAccess Lient
2. Posted Messages

I am running GW 2012 SP1 on SUSE 10 OES2
