OES Pure-ftpd question

Hi, I am having problems getting one eDir user to connect to our pure-ftpd server and was hoping someone could help or point me in the right direction. I can connect with another user but not this particular user. I've already gone through Support | LUM-enabling pure-ftpd: Quick and Easy and verified the settings but it still doesn't allow the user to connect. From the pure-ftp server when I run this command "id username" it pulls the correct uid. I've also tried more than one FTP client, cleared the unix profile and re-enabled the user as a Linux User in iManager. I can log into the pure-ftpd server, using the troubled account through SSH but not over ftp. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
