Safe way to include ZCM agent in an image

I want to include the ZCM 11.2 agent in our images, right now it's installing post imaging adding time to the machine setup. I'm using a different imaging solution (Dell KACE) so image safe data is not saved. Can I install the agent on a machine and run a zac unr then setup a task to register the machines after imaging or would that cause problems for us? Anything else I should run?

I found a bunch of tips from people here on the forums but most were a few years old.
