Message Archive Frequently Empty

I have an ongoing issue with Messenger Archive agent on Linux, and even before that on Netware. For compliance we keep conversation logs for 180 days so that Administrators can access them if needed. Frequently whenever we need to look at the conversations the conversational archive which is accessed through Messenger is empty. I will then check the rcnovell-nmaa process status which the service is running. I will then stop and restart the service and then I will be able to see the conversational archives but they are not recent messages, they are generally from months ago.

This behavior has bitten us in the behind a couple of times and I would like to get this issue resolved so that the archive logs are once again reliable. Anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks!
