Good Morning all,

SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11
PATCHLEVEL = 2
LSB_VERSION="core-2.0-noarch:core-3.2-noarch:core-4.0-noarch:core-2.0-x86_64:core-3.2-x86_64:core-4.0-x86_64"
Novell Open Enterprise Server 11 (x86_64)
VERSION = 11.1
PATCHLEVEL = 1

novell-afptcpd-1.3.1-28.28

After engineer did updates, i found my kanaka quit working, so check AFP

rcnovell-afptcpd status returned: unused
rcnovell-afptcpd start returned: done
and would start for about 2 seconds, then the status returned to unused.

In the log was this:

Jan 23 04:05:50 mvms-files afptcpd[7842]: Failed to read proxy user credentials. Ensure CASA is running and AFP casa entry is updated. Error: -802
Jan 23 04:05:50 mvms-files afptcpd[7842]: Failed to create global context handle for Subtree Search. Error - 4294967295 <0xffffffff>
Jan 23 04:05:50 mvms-files afptcpd[7842]: ********* Stopped AFP Server due to error *********

rcmicasad status returned: running
but did a rcmicasad restart for giggles...

CASAcli -l returned this:

Found 2 credential sets

Name: common-proxy-casa
Key: Password (********)
Key: CN (********)

Name: dhcp-ldap
Key: Password (********)
Key: CN (********)

The other troubleshooting pages suggest that there should be an AFP entry but as you can see, it isn't there.

Got 30 servers like this, any suggestions would truly be appreciated :-)

~dan
