rename user account effect on ifolder accout name

Have a site that uses AD for their primary login access, but use ifolder, version 3.8 on a SuSE10/OES2sp3 server. User there want to rename accounts but wonder how that effect the ifolder account. I thought I had read somewhere that if you rename the ifolder account it creates a new account instead of renaming the ifolder account. I was trying to see if anyone encountered this or how they handled renaming account in reference to ifolder accounts.
