Getting ready to remove the old primary server

I'm getting ready to remove the old original primary server ZCM 11.2.2 on SLES. I have a brand new SLES 11 server that I have made a primary and have set the new server as the closest server. I use the embedded sysbase database. I was reading the documentation but it was not clear. Do I have to install a external sysbase database on the new server? Do I just remove the old primary server and the new server will be the main primary? Both are syncing fine and they both have all the roles installed.
