Restoring an old (deleted) Post Office

Hi,

We have an old Post Office that has been long deleted, that I need to restore email from. What is the best way to do this? The Post Office was at version 7.03 when it was deleted, and we are now on V8.02.

I was thinking of just creating a new Post Office with the same name then recovering the deleted user into this PO (or creating a new one with the same user ID and FID). Then restoring the PO as it was, and setting it up as a restore area. Will this work? Or will GroupWise realise that this is not the same PO and not open the restore area? Are there any other options?

Other Information
The MTA IP address has changed since the PO was deleted
The original context for the PO has been deleted
The POA was set to client/server when it was backed up
