Published Calendars will not show recurring appts on ipads

When subscribing to a published calendar, recurring appointments do not appear on ipads and iphones. Regular appointments appear. We are using GW 12.0.1. The published calendar appears correctly on other platforms such as android, web page, or within gmail.

Any suggestions?
